Valley ABATE wraps up its 24th season teaching motorcycle safety to Mat-Su residents

As the snow begins to settle in for the winter months, Valley ABATE has closed for the season. It was a successful, and busy, summer for our rider coaches, who collectively issued 140 motorcycle endorsements. Enrollment for the season increased 16% over the 2023 season.

We'd like to thank Valley residents, who successfully sold out all 15 Basic Rider Courses that were offered throughout the season. We acknowledge that interest and demand in learning to ride a motorcycle is increasing in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough - the fastest growing census area in the state - which is why we'll be spending our off-months working toward a solution that will deliver even more course availability in 2025.

We would like to thank our partners at Butte Elementary School for allowing us to operate in a safe, quiet, and unbelievably beautiful location. But if not for our students, our organization would not exist. We are extremely grateful for yet another successful season, and we look forward to growing with our community in the coming years.
